Help Us Fundraise on Social Media This Giving Season!

As we approach the end of the year, we want to ensure that we’re able to have a greater impact on the Chinatown community by officially opening The Hub in early 2024; the first-in-kind gathering space to empower small businesses, build bridges, and champion sustainable growth.

But we still have a ways to go until we reach our fundraising goal to complete construction…

How can you help? It's simple! You can make a difference by starting your own social media fundraiser for Welcome to Chinatown. Keep reading for instructions, tips and prizes for top fundraisers!

How to start your own fundraiser:

Pick your channel(s) and follow our step-by-step guide below.

Spread the word! Let's make this fundraiser a success by spreading the word far and wide. Share it in a post or stories and invite your friends to join.

Prizes for top raisers:

As a token of our appreciation we have prizes for the top two fundraisers:

  • Prize 1 – Highest raiser by 11/28 receives: 2 tickets to our holiday fundraiser at Double Chicken Please

  • Prize 2* – Highest raiser by 12/22 receives: 2- hour space rental of The Hub when we re-open

Check our instagram story every Friday starting from November 17th to see who’s in the lead!

*If the highest raiser is the same for both prizes, prize #2 will go to the 2nd highest.

The power of small contributions:

Remember, every dollar counts. Raising $1, $5, or $20 donations can make a big difference in helping us reach our fundraising goal.

Every contribution goes towards building Welcome to Chinatown’s Hub – a first-in-kind gathering space for the community to empower small businesses, build bridges, and champion sustainable growth.

Thank you so much for helping us reach our goal and for moving our work forward in 2024!

Welcome to Chinatown

Welcome to Chinatown is a grassroots initiative to support Chinatown businesses following the rapid decline in business as a result of COVID-19 and increased xenophobia. Welcome to Chinatown serves as a free voice to generate much needed momentum for one of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods, and offers resources to launch a new revenue stream during this unprecedented time.
